CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Junior Krystal Montgomery (San Jose, Calif.) set the second fastest program time in the 800m, Alexis Boykin (Clayton, Ohio) set the top mark in Division III this season in the hammer, and junior Nony Otu Ugwu (Katy, Texas) set a new program standard in the triple jump as the No. 2 MIT women's track and field team hosted the 2025 Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday at Sherie and Don (1961) Morrison Track at Steinbrenner Stadium.

TOP PERFORMERS - Running Events:
- 1500m: First year Sarah Hopp (Stevens Point, Wis.) was 15th in 4:59.92.
- 400m: Senior Marina Miller (Bel Air, Md.) was just shy of the program record in first in 55.87 seconds. Senior Olivia Dias (East Taunton, Mass.) added a third place finish in 56.99 seconds and first year Maeve Sullivan (San Antonio, Texas) was fourth in 58.64.
- 100m: Sophomore JoJo Miller (Marietta, Ga.) was third in 12.31.
- 800m: Montgomery finished first in 2:09.85, the seocnd fastest mark in program history.
- 200m: Shreya Kalyan (Troy, Mich.) was the runner up in 25.16. JoJo Miller followed in second, finishing in 25.26 seconds.
- 5000m: Senior Archana Mohandas (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) won the event in 18:34.20.
- 4x400m: MIT ended the meet with a victory in the 4x400. The Engineers and Roger Williams were the only two teams in the event. Marina Miller, Kalyan, Dias and Montgomery turned in a time of 3:48.38.
TOP PERFORMERS - Field Events:
- Hammer Throw: Boykin won the event with a throw of 59.73m (195'11").
- Long Jump: Junior Katie Kempff (St. Charles, Ill.) was fifth with a mark of 5.21m (17'1.25").
- Pole Vault: Juniors Katelyn Howard (Lake Oswego, Ore.) and Hailey Surace (Snohomish, Wash.) were the final two competitors remaining, with Howard taking top honors after clearing 3.93m (12'10.75"). Surace was second after clearing 3.88m (12'8.75").
- Javelin: Elaine Wang (West Des Moines, Iowa), Emily Ball (Des Moines, Iowa), and Olivia Carpenter (St. Louis, Mo.) posted the top three throws to sweep the podium. Wang won the event with a throw of 42.91m (140'9").
- Discus: Boykin won the event with a throw of 47.22m (154'11"). Ball was fourth with a throw of 38.41 (126'0") and sophomore Macy Brennan (Westlake, Ohio) was fifth with a mark of 37.45m (122'10").
- High Jump: Sophomore Paige Dzenutis (Norfolk, Conn.) was seventh in 1.53m (5' 0.25").
- Triple Jump: Otu Ugwu won the event with a record breaking mark of 12.09m (39'8").
- Shot Put: Boykin completed the sweep, taking first with a throw of 15.23m (49'11.75"). Ball was second with a mark of 13.00m (42'8").
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Montgomery's recording breaking run also ranks her inside the top ten nationally in the 800m.
- Marina Miller and Olivia Dias are both in the top 50 nationally in the 400m. Miller is 17th and Dias is 46th.
- Howard and Surace look to have locked up return trips to nationals in the pole vault as Howard is now 8th and Surace is 11th in Division III.
- Otu Ugwu is in the top ten nationally in the triple jump, ranking 7th thanks to her mark on Saturday.
- Boykin already owned the top mark nationally in the Shot Put but she now owns the top mark in the hammer as well.
- Wang is in the top five nationally in the javelin.
- Ball is 27th in the shot put and 32nd in the javelin.

• MIT will compete at the Penn Relays on April 24th and the NEWMAC Championships on Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26 at Mount Holyoke College.
