The MIT sailing team took to the water for three regattas over the rainy weekend and earned a fifth-place finish at the Emily Wick Fleet Race to highlight the weekend of competition.

- The Engineers finished with a total of 139 points with the 'A' boat of sophomore Emma Wang (McLean, Va.) and first-year Sophia Woodbury (Sarasota, Fla.) finishing seventh with 66 points and four top three finishes. The 'B' boat of first-year Karya Basaraner (Izmir, Turkey) and first-year Christine Keedy Brown (Miami, Fla.) grabbed three top three finishes, including one, win to finish seventh with 73 points.

- The Engineers finished with a 2-6 record overall.
- Senior Max Katz-Christy (Cambridge, Mass.), first-year Conrad Straden (Darien, Conn.), and junior Lucas Escandon (Brick, N.J.) were the skippers during the race with first-year Katelyn Battacharia (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.), sophomore Katherine Jankowski (Hillsborough, Calif.), and first-year Natalie Hatzigeorgiou (Sammamish, Wash.) on the crew.

- MIT returns to the water next weekend for a full slate of racing. The Engineers will compete at the Women's NEISA Team Race, the Thompson Team Race, and the Oberg Fleet Race from Saturday, April 12-Sunday, April 13.
