for the week of August 25, 2025

Sport Shorts Spotlight: Ready for Kick-off!

The MIT fall sports season officially kicks off on Friday, August 29 when the men’s soccer team hosts Western New England University at 4:00 PM. Friday’s game is the first of many during a busy first week of action that includes contests away from campus for men’s and women’s cross country, women’s volleyball, water polo, field hockey and women’s soccer. Field hockey will play its first home game of the year at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 3 vs. Endicott, leading-up to a jam-packed weekend that includes home contest in women’s volleyball, field hockey and men’s soccer and the football team’s season opener when the Engineers take on Nichols College at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 6.
