- The Lead: Members of the MIT women's swimming and diving team competed at the Boston University Winter Open over the weekend.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Senior
Sasha Konovalenko (Mundelein, Ill.) finished in fourth in the 200IM with a time of 2:10.36 while junior
Sarah Lu (Katy, Texas) took eighth with a time of 2:13.10. Konovalenko also earned a fourth-place finish in the 400IM with a time of 4:43.40.

- The MIT 400 free relay team of Konovalenko, junior
Chloe Swanson (Minneapolis, Minn.), junior
Vivian Shao (Pittsburgh, Pa.), and senior
Aria Eppinger (Pittsburgh, Pa.) finished the race in 3:45.55 to place fourth.

- In the 100-yard butterfly, senior
Sydney Chun (Chandler, Ariz.) finished seventh with a time of 57.07 while Lu finished in tenth with a time of 57.72.

- Junior
Stella Shipps (Cedar Park, Texas) finished the 200-free in 1:57.42 to place 13th.

- In the longest race of the meet, the 1,650 Free, Eppinger took fifth with a time of 18:29.74.

- Lu and Chun finished third and fourth in the 200-fly with times of of 2:05.42 and 2:07.21.

Evelyn Peters (Fort Mill, S.C.), and sophomore
Emma Zhu (Chappaqua, N.Y.) finished second in the 400-medley relay with a time of 4:05.34.

- In the three-meter diving event, senior
Hannah Donner (Bethesda, Md.) finished third with a score of 242.60, and first-year
Kailey Epstein (Belle Mead, N.J.) finished with 229.30 points for fifth. Epstein followed with a third-place finish on the one-meter (255.45) followed by Donner in fifth (244.40).

- The Engineers take a week off to prepare for the NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championships which will be held at the Zesiger Center Pool. The four-day event begins on Thursday, February 22nd at 6 p.m.
