MARLBOROUGH, Mass.  – MIT's Bailey McIntyre was named the NEWMAC Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 5. This is the first time she has received this award.
 
In the Engineers' only game of the week, a 3-2 come-from-behind overtime victory at Springfield College on Saturday, McIntyre scored two goals during regulation. Trailing 2-0, she put MIT on the scoreboard with 3:45 left to play. Exactly 52 seconds later, McIntyre buried the equalizer to send the game into overtime.
 
MIT returns to action on Tuesday, October 7 when it travels to NEWMAC rival No. 6 Babson College for a 6:00 PM game.
