No. 17 Men’s Track and Field Opens Weekend at Williams FIRE

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Sophomore Jonah Goldstein (Pasadena, Calif.) and first year Marc Baker (Landrum, S.C.) each recorded top-five finishes in the javelin as the No. 17 MIT men's track and field team opened the two-day Williams College Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza (FIRE) on Friday at Lee Track.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Javelin: It only took Goldstein one throw to record a top-three mark, as he tallied a throw of 54.37m (178'5") on his first attempt to finish third overall. Baker needed three attempts before he recorded his top throw, recording a throw of 52.04m (170'9") to secure fifth place on his third attempt.
