Baseball Earns Multiple All-Region Honors; Moore, Tubbs, Estrada Named to ABCA First Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- MIT baseball graduate student Teddy Schoenfeld (Boulder, Colo.), senior Reed Tubbs (Pflugerville, Texas), junior Zev Moore (Jerusalem, Israel), sophomore Mason Estrada (Covington, La.) and first year John Spivey (Saint Louis, Mo.) have all earned All-Region honors for the 2025 season, with all five student-athletes receiving recognition as members of the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region Teams, while Tubbs, Estrada and Moore were also recognized by D3Baseball.com.

Reed Tubbs

  • ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team: Region 1 First Team - SS
  • D3baseball.com All-Region Region 1 First Team - SS
  • Recorded numerous career-highs, including a .340 batting average, 49 hits, nine doubles, six home runs and 35 RBIs
  • Drove in 35 runs with a .528 slugging percentage and .414 OBP while recording a .941 fielding percentage

Mason Estrada

  • ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team: Region 1 First Team - P
  • D3baseball.com All-Region Region 1 First Team - P
  • Finished the season 6-0 with 66 strikeouts and a 2.21 ERA over 40.2 innings pitched 
  • Estrada's 14.61 strikeouts per nine innings ranked second in NCAA Division III

Zev Moore

  • ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team: Region 1 First Team - 2B
  • D3baseball.com All-Region Region 1 Second Team - 2B
  • MIT team leader with 10 home runs and 93 total bases
  • Slashed .378/.481/.689 on the season with a NEWMAC-leading 1.170 OPS

John Spivey

  • ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team: Region 1 Third Team - OF
  • Second on the Engineers with nine home runs and 37 RBIs 
  • Slashed .318/.393/.567 during his rookie season, hitting 10 doubles and scoring team-leading 42 runs
  • One of only five first year student-athletes to earn ABCA Region I All-Region honors

Teddy Schoenfeld

  • ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team: Region 1 Third Team - OF
  • MIT's all-time hits leader with 236, finished the season with a team-leading 55 hits
  • Was second on the team with a .462 OBP and .362 average, earning 25 walks and scoring 35 runs in 39 games
  • Finished top five in the NEWMAC with 15 doubles

The 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions.

The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced on Wednesday, June 18. The 2025 ABCA NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive teams will be announced on Thursday, June 19.
