MARLBOROUGH, Mass.  – MIT's Audrey Oh was named the NEWMAC Field Hockey Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 11. This is the second time she has been honored and the first since she was tabbed for Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades in 2024.
 
In a 2-0 week for MIT, Oh scored a goal and contributed to a defense that recorded a pair of shutouts. Last Tuesday, she produced the lone goal in the Engineers' 1-0 win over No. 9 Babson College, which snapped the Beavers' 80-game NEWMAC regular-season winning streak. Oh then helped MIT register its sixth shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory at Salve Regina University on Saturday as the Seahawks were limited to five shots (one on goal) and three penalty corners. The Engineers ended the week with advantages in shots (28-15), shots on goal (16-5), and penalty corners (17-10).
 
MIT returns to action on Wednesday, October 13 when it hosts Western New England University at 6:00 PM at Jack Barry Field.
