MIT Women's Lightweight Crew Shines at Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta

The MIT women's lightweight crew team delivered a dominant performance at the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, securing medals in seven different events over the two-day competition. Highlighting their success, the Engineers captured gold in the varsity eight Grand Final to win the prestigious Bergman Trophy. The team added a second gold medal in the lightweight fours, where they earned the Robert Espeseth Trophy after a commanding victory over Tampa. MIT showcased significant depth throughout the weekend, also taking home a silver medal in the quadruple scull. Their impressive trophy haul was completed by bronze-medal finishes in the first and second varsity fours, the double scull, and the single scull. Following this strong showing on the Cooper River, the Engineers will now prepare to compete at the 2026 IRA National Championship in California later this month.
